Does Water Reminder require an account?

No. Water Reminder works without user accounts or login.

Where is my hydration data stored?

Hydration logs, preferences, goals, reminders, and related app data are stored locally on your device.

Does Water Reminder use Health Connect?

Yes, optionally. Water Reminder reads and/or writes hydration data through Android Health Connect only after explicit user permission.

Can I turn off diagnostics?

Yes. Anonymous diagnostics are controlled by an in-app setting and default to off.

Bug Reporting Guidance

When reporting a bug, include:

• Your Android version and device model.
• The app version if visible in Settings.
• What you expected to happen.
• What actually happened.
• Steps to reproduce the issue.
• Whether Health Connect, widgets, or reminders were involved.

Feature Requests

Feature ideas are welcome. Water Reminder prioritizes calm, private, offline-first hydration support over features that increase screen time or collect unnecessary data.
